^^^ that work for ya solid snake? ;)

Seriously though the top is full and i dont have a double linear fixture yet, can I hang my plant light up and down along.the side of my cage? Will this hurt my chams eyes or just annoy him to much?

hahahahahahaha!!!!!! :D

Other than the un-natural light positioning, I dont see any issue with it...

And that's my fear. Unnatural causes stress.. chams in captivity have enough to stress about.. i shall wait for my double fixture..

If anyone still wants to input I'm all ears...... Eyes...

If you had a clip on light and put a 100w cfl 6500k on the top edge it would give a more natural angle of light. A 100w cfl 6500k has around 1400 lumens I think and that would penetrate down near the bottom of a screened cage nicely, and cause its a cfl its low heat.

examples of angle down thru top or side below. using my leet paint skillz!

good idea.
I've read previously on this forum that having a light top to bottom that your chameleon will be looking head-on into is not good for their vision. I have no scientific evidence to back that up. Does seem plausible - the evolved with a sun above not a sun in front or beside. And they do spend more time with eyes forward, backwards or sideways or downwards than focused upwards
