Okey so Im aware of that chameleons are not pets that you can take out and play with. But I did atleast thought that they were monitor lizards, that you could watch and admire! But Im sure I got a mole instead of a cham...

Í need to remain completely still for atleast 40 minutes before she dares to get out of her cave of leafs. And even then she is not like being visible, Im just seeing small parts of her, like her tale and such.
She have been in my care for 1 month only though. Might that be why? But I feel like she would atleast explore her cage when the doors are closed to her cage. But naa :( Sometimes it feels like im taking care of a cage full of plants.

give it some time haha after feeding and misting for a while she'll warm up to you

haha okey! But I think I only makes it worse when I mist and TRY handfeed her.. Misting makes her RUN and go crazy. And If i try handfeed she hisses and tries to bite me or the stick im using. :/ Its like I already blew my chances with her since I have tried this so many times and she only sees my hand as a burst with water coming or like " Oh man here he comes with that mealworm in his hand again, will he never learn that I hate him and wont eat from his hand?" ... haha.

Can I rebuild trust?

Make sure you are moving at a chameleons pace :)

Also I have read that in order to help socialize put them in a place with traffic, like a kitchen or living room.

Good luck with your mole!
I am sure if you are patient with her she will come around

My advice is to put her, most definitely, in a low traffic room, free of stress, and leave her alone for awhile. Go over the care sheet, be sure she is living in the correct conditions, and allow her time to establish her life on her own terms.

I don't get the comparison to a monitor lizard. For warm fuzzies, I have a cat. Good luck. :)

Im trying to :p But its hard to move slowly without getting stressed, haha.
She is located in my bedroom so the only traffic she is getting put out with is when I get home from work and sitting by my computer right now :p

Ive been through the caresheet a hundred times and it seems fine :) But when I watch others cham in youtube they are fine with moving around in the cage visible even though a camera is in their face. But maybe I got a nerv wrack chameleon

By high traffic, I think what was meant is in an area that your chameleon can see you more often, but from a distance. Not next to a door where you can startle him. I don't think this would help though. I only see my veiled mostly in the mornings when he is warming in the basking spot, or when he moves down to his feeding cup to see if I've done my part, but I don't see him much at night. Its usually a bit of a battle to find him among the branches. When he is out of the enclosure he enjoys the time in the sun, but when in his world, he kinda does what he should... act like a chameleon :D.

Mine is the opposite :p She only comes out at night and sleeps on a branch right next to the cage-door all visible :D Only time a day I can see her!

When you take him out, does he come to your hand at free will or do you have to force him on it? :)

I don't force anything. There can be a little hiss and some winding through the branches, but I never force the issue. He doesn't come right out though. Once he's out, he enjoys the time.

Thanks for the advice! Hopefully she will learn that im not a predator soon :)

with my lil guy every morning i cook my breakfast and get my coffee ready. Then I sit there and eat my breakfast and hand feed him meal worms. He knows when its feeding time. He still doesnt like to be held but i will put a finger in his cage and get him to get both his hands on my finger and just sit like that. Allowing him to become adjusted to my hand and understand I am not a threat.

My wife thinkgs its gross i hand feed him while eating, she jokes that I will get one confused one day. I laugh and told her I have eaten bugs in military sere training so its no big deal haha..

Also perhaps leaving the cage open and putting a vine leading to a free ranged would help. I had an EXTREMELY aggressive iguana once that I thought would kill me or at least wanted to. I couldnt afford a proper enclosure for him so i set him up on my dresser with his sticks uvb and food. One night i felt him crawl into bed with me and i freaked out. But after allowing him to free roam he never once tried to attack me. Keep in mind this was a 4.5 ft iguana not a lil guy he would leave welts and cut me open before. So i am a firm believer in free ranged to tame reptiles. Bring them into your world and let them get adjusted. I would just let him be and when he was ready he came to me. After that he was like the house dog, roamed around and begged for food.
