I get my silkworms tomorrow!

Sebastian is driving me insane right now I thought Sebastian was 8-9 months, he's not, looked at an old email from the breeder and worked out he's 11 months

Anyway I found some silkworms from butterworms.co.uk and they come tomorrow. He's being fussy as hell, he refuses crickets, he did take locusts and now bored of them so HOPE he likes silkworms.

Last time he ate some locusts was last Wednesday, will he be ok? He's drinking, active and his fat pads are ok.

hell be fine.
as long as hes acting healthy, he can go a few days without eating.

What's the longest they can go before it becomes to a point it starts causing problems.

it varies cham to cham.

some have gone 2 weeks without food, though thats a bit extremem for a younger guy.
as long as it doestn appear hes losign weight, and hes drinking.. hell be fine.
im sure hell love the silkworms.

No way!I've been checking everywhere! Looked like they were out of stock!

The SilkwormStore do a bred to order service, but as far as I know there is a waiting list. In the past I have had a couple of bad experiences with posting them. They aren't cheap and to have your order arrive with only two still alive is not good! I got eggs instead last time. They are just so fragile and can't be sent when it's too hot or too cold! I have never got any all the way from egg to moth before, so you will probaby hear me yelling when the moths finally emerge, lol!

Well mine came this morning, the postman instead of knowing on the door, he shoved them in the postbox and its freezing outside, luckily they wearn't there long as I heard the gate on the drive shut and went to get them out.

But Sebastian has turned them down

Yeah they were ok. He hasn't eaten for 6 days, worried and getting p*ssed off he's refusing every food items now, I got the silks as chams seem to like them but refuses them as well.

I feel your pain... I'm in the same situation.. Trying to figure out if there's something wrong in my set up. Planning to make some adjustment.. First off misting more to raise humidity, that's the only thing is been different lately. Gook luck..

Does he usually eat in front of you? My Yemen can be a bit funny sometimes even with silkworms - he waits for me to disappear before he devours them
