I finally have heat!

After almost a week I am finally warm. I cannot recommend or commend Wahl Family Heating and Cooling enough for anyone in the Pittsburgh area. They came out yesterday and my furnace was installed and working by 1 pm today. They cleaned up in my basement around the furnace better than it has been in years. They even put an electrical outlet in by the furnace as there was not one in the basement. One of the installers even went out to their truck and got a new light bulb for a fixture down there! They are a first class operation from start to finish.

Everyone seems to have come through without any adversity. The boys each had a sleeping box under a CHE for night time. Now they can stay in their enclosures. I actually took the CHE from the Turkistan roach bin. I checked on them today and despite the night time temps being in the 40's they seem OK, just VERY sluggish. The crix, silks and horn worms are all OK too. I was a little concerned they would succumb to the cold but they didn't. I kept them near the heat lamps on top of Clouseau's enclosure.

So glad you made it out of the cold safely! That had to be horrible- not just for your little friends but you as well.

It was! I was actually glad to go to work at night! There were a couple of nights I thought about sneaking the boys with me but I don't think my patients would have appreciated. Actually the one who seemed to take it the hardest was my Rhodesian Ridgeback. He would literally be shivering in the morning when I came home even though he had a blanket and couch to lay on.

I'm so glad you got a new furnace, for you and your pets. That has to be a huge relief for all of you.
