I feel very accomplished!

Well besides my addiction to chameleons, I also have cats.

I've rescued 5 cats which live on over 50 acres of land where I keep my horse. Well many of these cats were on death row, two of these cats are also feral.

One of them are completely feral, so I see her minimally. The few times I was in contact with her I thought I'd lose a hand I'd take a mean chameleon any day compared to this cat! Anyways I have another cat, Laila. She's a gorgeous black and white short haired cat, probably around 2 years old.

I assume she was once a house cat and then was abandoned as she doesn't want to kill me, she always kept her distance until recently. She started to follow me around and meow like crazy. Yesterday, Laila let me pet her after much patience. She acted as a typical lovebug of a cat. Later in the day all 5 of my cats were in the barn together eating.

There's no better feeling then having an animals' trust that had originally been mistreated

congrats!, amazing what a little patience does. that and the fact because you have a Dutch I know without hesitation, the cats also must feel safe with you!

Yeah, they aren't really afraid of horses, but not stupid! Dogs and horses don't always mix too well but it works with cats.

And yes they are "micers" supposedly...only one cat actually hunts and he does it out of boredom! And yes! I first got all these cats and only saw ONE!! Then another started showing up and another...I got one cat because he was agressive and kind of hated everyone and now follows me everywhere! I actually can't have cats at my house, only non-shedding animals. So poodles and chameleons it is.

When I move out then I'm sure I'll have two living with me, definitely the "mean" one and my old 13 year old female.

congrazt! i love to hear that. iv got 7. they are all sweet. 6 toms one female. shes fixed as is our oldist male. one doesnt need to ever be fixed (a male with a tri color is suposed starel(sp?)) i love them all so much! people are always trying to give me their cats! the most resent one i took from a woods litter. all his sibling were killed about a week later. i do my best though. i just got offed a little female who would be fixed if i would take her. it makes me sad to say no but 7's alot already.

Thank you I hoped they would all eventually turn around, I can't bring dogs to the barn since they are way too unintelligent, cats just get their pets and food and let me be and don't run away.

I like the mean ones too! They end up loving you way much more, it was the same with my veiled I took care of when I was younger.

I'm not allergic but I hate the hair, the only hair that's ok is horse hair. Chameleon shed is the best

Well technically I only have four animals in my house, two which are mine and they are my chams. And I'm sort of a neat freak so definitely not an animal hoarder, I hate hair, I shed enough. Cats are great, they can sleep outside or in the garage! But I may become a cham hoarder

Actually, I would figure that the next post would be something like....

Besides chameleons and cats, I also have a bit of an addiction for going to the zoo... so coincidentally, I noticed all the animals in the zoo were not guarded. I stormed the gates, released them from their homes, and they now live in a personal zoo! MY personal zoo.

JK! In all honesty, that is an amazing thing you did and I would feel proud too!

Hey, I'm not saying it is bad! I am already planning on a future mellers, a future parsons pair (if I ever get the money, one can dream), a jacksons pair for breeding, and a panther or two!

I know! We are all addicted to our animals, there's one thread about all the animals you own, yeah I have nothing compared to some other people who really have a zoo!
