its a northern water snake, non venomous, but look how huge it is!! and the fact its carrying a trout like a dog is priceless :p i lovee snakes btw ^.^

Thats awesome!!! They are real fun to watch!! Its funny that most people where I am from, WV, think they are copperheads or water moccasins. You always get a good reaction when you catch one:D
 
I just wish it would eat a crap fish and practice catch-and-release w/ trout like we of the flyfishing ilk (note the avatar).

hahaha i know! i brought the pics into work one day and everyone was like "thats deff a copperhead" and i explained to them copperheads dont hunt like that..this snake was huge! must have been a female, found it near my swimmin hole :p nobody wants to go swimming with me now :(

haha i agree..this was a native trout too, not one of the ones that were stocked up..nobody knows theres trout in my swimming hole, and theyre big too!

Flyfishing is one of the best forms of fishing, I am still a beginner but absolutely love it!

And Amanda those are great pictures, its not very often you see that!

Brook Trout correct?
