I made the mistake of putting 100 crickets in a 10 gallon aquarium without something to block them from climbing the silicone in the corners. Watching four lines of crickets climbing out into the garage was an "oh crap" moment.

for me its that the crickets are escape artist. i accidentally leave the lid cracked and figure out a dozen have escaped. and other times i drop it. and then i have to clean up after myself for 10 minutes. other times i hear my parents call to me that there is a cricket in their bedroom. i try to say its a wild cricket but it always fails. other times i look into my closet and see a darkling beetle alive from the last time i bought mealworms (6 months ago). its weird how they can survive in a closet for such a long time...

If the car starts to stink like crickets, I'm with OEB, sell it or burn it. No strawberry air freshener is ever going to be able to cover that up.

We went camping this weekend, so between dead mosquitos and dead crickets creates a bug litter layer before the carpet layer, no stink as of yet... I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Yes..occasionally one will get free( a cricket)and my dog will eat it. Hes never ripped open the bag or box before though lol.

It has been 8 days, I don't think my car is going to stink, phew I dodged a bullet with this one

How did your dog do? Crickets might be a bit rich for a pet not used to live food.

Oh Bosco is totally fine, I don't really want to admit this but he gets into a lot of trouble. He's the type if it fits in his mouth he will put it in there. Heck even if it doesn't fit, he will try.

That sounds horrible! I just got my baby chameleon yesterday and two crickets escaped, I wanted to die. I can't imagine that many crickets escaping!
