Hygrometers and Thermometers!

Personally I have 2 or 3 per enclosure and use the exo terra combo ones. Easy to read, degrees in C or F and records high/lows along with current temp/humidity.

One is at the basking spot, one in the ambient area and on bigger enclosures, one at the halfway as well.

so I have a ZooMed thermometer and an infrared one, my ZooMed is reading 10 degrees higher than my infrared, which one should I trust? I don't want my little guy to burn, but at the same time I don't want his basking temp too low. I don't really have a way to tell if the infrared is accurate. any suggestions?
