Hygrometer Question in my cham cage?
Went out and bought a digital hydro/themometer, the exo terra one. I wanted to know where the best place to put it would be? I assumed near his basking spot since thats where he spends most of his time. I have my old hydrometer, an analog one, near the base of his ficus plant. The digital one reads only 16% while the analog reads 80%. I feel it has to be humid in his cage, but feel that both are way off the mark. Does the digital one need to be connected to some plants, or is it okay for it to be along the back?
Also, Optimus (my Cham's name), seems to only make the popping noise whenever he puffs up really big whenever he feels threatened or if we move him too far from his enclosure. Is this a normal noise for a young (2month) veiled?
Thanks guys.
