I got a quick note from the chameleon keeper regarding the UVC sterilizer:

"...UV Sterilizers from PetSmart for $39.99 each...."

She said that she hadn't had a chance to research it much but just bought it to experiment with.

Whose going to take charge of this topic and do some research for the rest of us . Volunteers? We're looking for effectiveness, price, reliability etc.

For the slime, I use a tiny bit of bleach to the bucket. Not enough to even smell it, let alone taste it, but enough to keep slime and algae from forming.

Question - I'm going to eventually hook my my misting stuff to a waterline - I'm tired of pumps. Anyone hook their system up to a HOT water line? I woudl think that it wouldn't matter, hot or cold.

I used my misting system to cool things down when I was in Raleigh. Up here, in the mountains, the bucket gets really cold at night. they won't drink from it. Picky things...
