Hunger strike ...?

Hay every one ...I wanted to knw if any ones Cham ever whent on a hunger strike?...my male panther whent on a hunge r strike for like almost 2 weeks...but he just started eating like week ago and he is eating really really good...

I know of a few members who have had their chams go on a hunger strike, a healthy cham can go a whole month without eating anything! Not that I'm saying you should try but yes, seems some chams just decide to strike against you.

Maybe someone else can give you a more biological reason.

Sometimes they just have to work up an appetite. Keep the number of feeders you offer varying and try not to overfeed. Its a common issue. Congrats that your cham is hungry again

i have a few chams that dont eat every day and i have others who get mad if i dont feed them 3 times a day some just seem to be picky eaters i normaly change up the food if they dont eat or take all food away for a day then bring it back the next day and they eat then

i feel like mine is on one right now!!! He ate one super yesterday, nothing today! I have been desperately trying to find some moths at night by my lights but nothing big enough to feed. I know he will eat lizards cause he tried like crazy to catch one the other day. I guess he is tired of what I am feeding him! He is drinking and very active, so I guess I won't worry until it gets to be a long period of time.

Seriously does anyone know how long they can go without eating? Ozzie is now going on 12 days with only eaten 1 grass hopper. I am hoping his appetite picks up soon or else we are going on another stressful vet visit

haha! I know! I have never owned any pet that has driven me crazy like he does. If it is not the drinking issues, its now the eating!

Some dont believe in this but I strongly do... Ive seen pics of your cham and the pads are exploding. If I where you I wouldnt let him see food for at least a week. In my experience, offering exotic feeders like moths and dragonflies and such have only made the issue worse...
