Hunger strike day 5.

Really trying to get my panther to eat roaches. I have over loaded the feeder with roaches, but he hasn’t eaten any of them. My question is how long should I wait to I cave and give him a hornworm?

You don't cave. Let your panther get hungry and then he'll eat them. (Yes I know it's hard) Hang in there. :)

5 months.
IMO 5 months is way too young to try to do this. This typically is not done until they are done with their growing at about 9-10 months.

I would add crickets with the dubia. If he was raised on crickets then he literally has no idea that he is supposed to eat the dubia.

Copy that.

Copy that.
If you have the mix of feeders together then he will pick off the dubia when he is going for the crickets. He will learn that they are food when he sees them this way. And then your not putting him through a ton of stress when he is at an age where he needs the food intake.

The roach has finally been eaten.
