Humidity too high?

So my room stays pretty humid during the summer. According to my digital humidity/temperature display, it averages 60-70% and jumps above 80% after the shower runs. I've noticed two very small mushrooms growing out of the soil of my schefflera, they are a brownish color and quite small, I went ahead and pulled them out. I've even noticed some fruit(?) flies hovering at the top of the screen. I'm currently hand misting twice a day if I work and more when I'm off (3 days a week).
Thinking I should leave the window open and possibly run the dehumidifier because I don't want my panther to get a URI. I also received a MistKing in the mail, just need to get a resevoir bucket.

Air exchange will help prevent mold buildup. You wouldn't need to run a dehumidifier 24/7, maybe just during what might be the warmest part of the day to mimic dryer midday. You could control cycles with a multiple setting lamp timer.

That's a great idea about running the dehumidifier during midday-afternoon, when you say control cycles with the lamp timer what do you mean exactly? It's been damp outside but relative humidity has been 70% take or give, that's ideal for a panther correct?

If you get a wall plug-controlled lamp timer you can set it to turn the dehumidifier on and off during the day if you aren't home. Same idea as turning the cage lights on and off.
