So I have my new cage set up and testing it out before I bring home my new veiled thats is 2 1/2 months old, I have an all screen reptarium and I am having a hard time keeping it humid. it sits around 20-30 and when I mist i can get it to about 40-60 for just a little while. what am I doing wrong!! what should the humidity sit at and what should it be when I mist??

Do you have live plants? You cold try covering a couple of the sides with plastic (trash bag, shower curtain...). That would keep humidity in a little better. As long as the front and top are screen that should provide plenty of ventilation.

No I don't I was thinking about going and getting one though, what would be the best to get and any ideas I were to get one?

schefflera and pothos is what I use. You can get them at home depot or lowes. Walmart may have them even cheaper.

With veileds the low doesn't matter as much, but your target would be around 40-50% dry. If you still can't quite get it there after you try everything, just make sure the animals has extra long watering sessions so it can stay hydrated.

I got a humidifier over the winter for me and my chams and it really helped with the humidity (and my skin :D). I wish I had bought one like years ago, they're great. Buying distilled water is a pain, but I def think it's worth it :)
