Humidity Help!

So I've been monitoring humidity levels and temperature for the past two days. At first the humidity was 70-75 but it's just been decreasing. It's currently a little below 40. Any suggestions on how to increase the humidity? I have a live ficus in the cage and I misted it twice today already. Could the A/C in the building be causing issues with the humidity? Also, the temperature has stayed around 80-90. Is that good or too hot? This is the temp. directly underneath the lamp.

Assuming that you have a mesh enclosure you can cover the back and sides with a shower curtain or something similar. There is another post going today about keeping humidity up.
Yes having the AC running will lower the ambient humidity in the room.
