humidity at night

recently as the weather gets warmer the humidity in my panthers cage has been dropping into the 30's at night. I tried putting a towel over one side of his cage top help keep humidity in but that didn't seem to help at all. How can i keep humidity up over night? Whats the ideal humidity range for panther chameleons at night?

You don't want the cage to sit soaking wet all night, and if the cage humidity is correct during the day it will naturally go up a little once the lights are off at night. How low does the humidity go during the day? Maybe all you need to do is mist it a little later in the afternoon. Putting a towel over one cage side won't really do much, as the other sides still allow pretty much the same amount of airflow.

A towel is absorbent and will actually wick moisture OUT of your cage, dropping the humidity levels. If you ever want to block of a side or two of your cage, use some plastic sheeting or some PVC, or anything that isn't liquid-absorbent.

the humidity during the day is fine i have a mistking go off throughout the day and also have a dripper that i put on sometimes too. It's just recently at night the humidity drops so quickly.
