Humidifier as mister

is it okay for me to keep a humidifier as a mister in my chameleons cage?

Not the same thing... These are two different forms of hydration. Cool mist Humidifiers should only be used at night when temps are below 68 degrees and all lights are off. Misters are used at any time but typically morning and evening. Allows for drinking water but also the ability to clean their eyes.

Most cham owners have misters and add humidifiers for extra humidity at night. I say no because they should only be on for a short period of time, I’ve heard many people have problems using one all day. Personally I don’t have one yet since mine is on its way. @Beman is right

I’m not sure what you mean by use a humidifier as a mister, they really are two totally different tools
