I have a cool mist humidifier like the one below. I am getting some algae on the inside where I can't clean it off. So here is my question have any of you had this issue, and is it ok by that I mean is there any health risk I should be aware of?

Put just a little bit of apple cider vinegar in the tank and run it. If you do that periodically, it should keep the algae/mold under control. I hate the smell of vinegar, but it's such a great "natural" cleaner.

Thanks I'll give it a try. Was going to use bleach, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it all rinsed out.

If you dilute the bleach it will still be effective and you can rinse it out enough. I run a dilute bleach (1:10 bleach to water) solution through my misters and humidifiers periodically followed by a rinse with vinegar (to help reduce mineral deposits).
