Apparently it housed an iguana. I found it by searching for bird cages! :D

Oh, and I have it sitting on a coffee table that has two cutouts (I guess for glass) that'll be perfect for drainage!! :p

Ive been searching in the "aviary" section myself for something nice and large!!! Congrats to you, is that going to be for Chazam?

wonderful looking cage! I just want to say one thing. That looks like chicken wire right? Does your chameleon climb the sides of his cage ever? The reason I am asking. My chameleon has got some sores on his back feet and we are thinking it came from the chicken wire on my outdoor cage as he always hangs on the sides. I took him to the vet and he agrees as there is nothing else that would have caused the wounds that we can think of. I just wanted to bring that to your attention. I would hate to see your chameleon go through what mine is. I am having a heck of a time getting his feet to heel. He is oral anibiotic and I have been putting neosporin also. If he does not climb the sides(although he may start) just keep an eye on his feet!

Thx for your concerns! I totally get what you're saying. This is actually coated hardware cloth, not the chicken coop wire. I believe that it's the same wiring that some people use for their "tube-style" cages. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for feet issues once I place Chazam in there... :) Thx again, Carol!

That is insane! Super stoked to see it set up

working on it! I have some of those bendy vines zip-tied in now! I have a hibiscus, pothos, wandering jew and a fern that I need to see how to stuff in there! :D I also have bamboo poles out the wazoo! I'll keep y'all posted! :p

yes, that is the material I am changing too, the coated stuff. Just trying to get my husband to help me do it! I have not been letting my chameleon go in there until I get it changed. Sometimes trying to get my husband to do things is a chore in itself!. The other cham I have does not climb on the sides. We are not 100% sure how he cut his feet, it is just a logical guess. But he has been in that cage for over a year and 1/2 so it is funny that all of the sudden it would be bothering his feet.

Hmmmm, this must be the only logical reason. Oh, and it sounds like the hubby may not be into the cham hobby as enthusiastically as you are! :p

carol its a good chance the chicken wire did it - I've know another persons cham have foot damage from chicken wire

thanks Sandra, I am so mad that I did not see this coming. I mean he crawled around in that cage for almost a year and a half and then all of the sudden the sores appeared. I feel bad that I have put him through undue pain due to my stupidity!!

Here's a rough draft. Is it too busy up top? Likey? No likey? :)

Thoughts or suggestions? I haven't started on the bottom...

Ok, so I wasn't digging the wandering jew and took it out. I totally forgot that I had tons of bamboo sticks, so I've inserted quite a bit of those. Any suggestions for the bottom? I'll place a smallish hibiscus in the right, back corner...
