I currently have a veiled chameleon in 36"x16"x16" screen enclosure with foliage and a powersun 100 watt bulb. the chameleon is a veiled/yemen 4 months old is fed gut loaded crickets smaller than the width between the eyes that are dusted with d3 calcium every other week. lights on at 8am off at 8pm. i mist several time a day and will soon be getting live plants for its enclosure. Am i doing good feeding, lighting, humdity etc. wise? first chameleon so i ask a lot.

That bulb sounds way to high I use 25w bulbs check the heat it may burn him an can you tell use what lighting your using and also what is your suplimenting scedual

and what do you mean by supplementing schedule?

You say you use calcium with d3 every other week, so you use a calcium without d3 regularly? Do you use a multivitamin and I would just check the heat coming of that, is it sat directly on top of the Viv or hanging above slightly?

Photos of the setup would really help if you want to know how good it looks. Cant really tell anything else unless you say what the humidity or temperature actually is. Sounds ok just from what you say, unless the bulb is too near. Remember that young chams sometimes hang upside down at thetop of the screen so you need to be extra careful with the basking bulb.

well currently my little cham is not hanging pside down. the light is directly on the screen however i am planning to get a clipfor it so i can get it up off the cage. i dont dust the crickets with calcium for the gutload has calcium. and i dont use a multi vitamin.

Yes I would get something soon as possible, I burn one of my females doing that, she was only in the Viv one day I thought the bulb would be of untill the next day when I made a shelf and it burnt her, I'm still pissed about it now and I gutload an also use calcium without d3 most feeds and also use a multivitamin twice a month an same with the d3, I dont use d3 with panthers or veileds under 6 months to as they get a enough d3 from my UVB light at that age

You have to dust your crickets! The calcium that you give for the crickets to eat is not enough. I use Repashy Calcium plus every day. It has the vitamins and D3 in it so you don't have to worry about a monthly schedule. Its been working great for me for a year.
