How to tell if my veileds gender?

Hi everyone! My name is Madalyn and I just recently got a baby veiled (not sure the age but he/shes the length of my ring finger) I named Slinky. I just want to know how to tell what the gender is... Petsmart said a Male but the more pictures I look at the more I think he is a she. Can someone help me out ?! Thank you!!

Can you get a better picture of the back of the back feet. Look for a small bump in the back of the foot in the center. If there is a small bump called a spur it is male....no bump...female. Welcome to the forum.

Haha my kid named my first female lizzy, but when we bought her she was really sick and had to take her back so I told him we were getting a baby lizzy, but got a male... hes going to have some gender confusion when he grows up

Now that you know...start reading up on lay bins. Females lay eggs whether bred or not. If not bred they will be infertile. Females have a few special needs but you have at least 4 months to do your research.
