my female veiled just finished laying her first cluch and i want to know how to get the eggs do i just take the whole laying bin out the cage or do i move the cham first.

I would take the laying bin out. If your cage is small, you might need to take your cham out first in order to remove the laying bin.

You should be able to just take the egg chamber out of the cage and then dig through it to find the eggs.

Not sure what your chamber was, but I find that the eggs are almost always at the bottom on an edge. I use a softer plastic scoop and just start scraping away the media a little at a time until I see the first egg, then I hand dig them out and put them in the incubation container.

hey nico, if it were me, id use my hand to uncover anything, or maybe a dixie cup.

focus on areas that look like they may have been disturbed.

i don't know what i missed, but my veiled just got done with what i thought was laying eggs. after 37 hours of digging and even sleeping in the hole, she finally came out this evening. she ate and drank so i thought she was done. i shifted through all the sand very well and i did not find a single egg. do you think she is still holding?and if so what should i do

she just left it uncovered, and i checked that tub like you wouldn't believe. as soon as i found nothing, i placed the tub back in her cage and she has already started digging a new hole.

Id leave her undisturbed until you see that she fills the hole and goes elsewhere. A female having layed is pretty skinny and obvious. Many species mess about digging test holes for days before laying. Try not to be anxious and disturb her at all, If you put her off laying (she thinks your a predator) she will be at risk of becoming eggbound.
Now is a great time to double check your incubator is in order, temp is as desired and steady along with humidity desired. Egg box/s should be already prepared.
