Depends on if its going to a major city up there, or town in the sticks. Alaska is a big place.

Anchorage or Fairbanks are the only places here I'd try it. This time of year the temps are OK so I would not use a heat pack just to be safe.

Anchorage should be overnight, but many towns are not.
