How to move chameleons?

I have a male veiled chameleon and naturally he doesn't like to be picked up or any sort of physical contact with a human or anything a human is holding except for bugs. So how am I supposed to move him over to the females cage? Or would it be okay to move the female(who is much more sociable and actually enjoys climbing on people) into the males cage? Because I've read you should not do this due to makes being territorial.

Hold your female in front of him outside his cage. make sure she is receptive. if she is ok, he should be flared up and ready to rock and roll. you can either lead a stick between the two cages or he may just let you manuever him after seeing the goods. alittle foreplay goes a long way, so i hear.

I move the males to the female's cage. Have you tried a stick? Or even just taking out the plant he is on and putting it in front of the female's open cage? If all else fails, you can try the super quick, under the chin, swoop 'n lift (with a glove on for protection.) I find that the more I hesitate, the more likely the chameleon is to get riled up/bite me. If you do it really fast, but gentle, they dont have as much time to react, and some even act confused and just step onto your hand easily anyways.

It doesn't matter who goes to whos cage. I usually select the more docile of the two to move because if you've got one who goes wacky when you move it, then it may not be receptive if female or court if male immediately after being moved. Sometimes it can blow the introduction altogether for the day.
