How to move a chameleon in a snow storm

Anyone have any ideas on the best way to move a chameleon in an awful snowstorm? I want him to be as comfortable and with as little stress as possible. Before the last 4 days or so, the weather felt like early spring. We had weather in the high 60s low 70s! Of course it would be my luck that when it came time to do the moving that we would be getting a blizzard! Should I put him in a smaller container or box? I have never done this before, so any ideas are much appreciated.

Molly you need a box lined with styrofoam if you have one. Then you pack your boy just how you would to mail him. He will be in a warm dark place, go to sleep, and be happy and safe. I keep boxes like that close for all of my chams, all year around. Anything could happen, snowstorm, fire, or whatever. I always need to be ready, then I can not think about it. I also keep a supply of heat packs so my kids will not be cold. If you don't have a lined box use a regular one with a warm towel and something for him to hold on too. Everything will be ok.

We plan to do that someday. These winters are just not fun anymore.
