Hi,
I'm from Thailand and used outdoor cage it got full sun (7am-3pm) how to setup mist system? i read here found only indoor and not got alot of sun like here. Pls advise!!
ok well set up an indoor system, out door; here we have indoor and out door timer plugs i learned the other day, so u could set the system to go off say every 4 hrs for 30 minutes. it seys outside plugs so by the deffinition the excesss moisture of rain wont bother it. does that help just a thught the brand here for less then $20 was BRINKS sold at walmart.
I keep mine outdoors here summer in sun- many days temperature here is upper 90s. I make sure they have plenty of shade as well as sun available all day. Bushy hibiscus trees provide shade inside the cages. The chameleons can crawl into them or move to the north side of the hibiscus. If that is not enough, I add a board along the top.
I use a patio cooling mister system to provide mist for many cages at once very inexpensively. These are sold to keep humans cool outdoors and probably available somewhere in Thailand I would guess. Little nozzles shoot a fine spray of water to cool the air nearby. This is left on all afternoon when the day is hottest. On the hottest days- this may mean they come on at 11:30 am and go off at 7:30 pm. On cooler days only on for an hour or two so it depends on the weather.
The mist only sprays in part of the shade. not the whole cage or even the entire shady area. This way the lizards can be dry and in the shade or wet and in the mist or warm and dry in the sun and control their own temperature and moisture the way they decide for themselves they need or want.
Thanks for all idea and answer, If i can find Panther it same for mist? (on now i have only veiled) Try to find panther in Thailand but can't got it still looking for Panther.
