How to measure the uvb strip? Help lol

I took in a rescue a month ago and didnt recognize any of her lights or fixtures. now i know my big boys fixture takes a 22' bulb. Today, my little rescue's uvb bulb bit the dust. Old owner said it was only 4 months old but when i took the bulb out the end piece fell off and it was completely corroded. Now how do i go about figuring the length of this bulb so i can replace it? Do i measure from tip to tip including the metal plugs or just bulb itself?

it says to measure to the back of the fixture as in the outlets so from one outlet to the other?

i do know it's an 18" fixture

im getting 18" so is that right if the whole fixture is 18" that doesn't seem right to me.

if its a 18" "hood" odds are its got a 12" T8 in it, unless you know its a t5 HO setup.

T8's are 12",18", and 24" from pin tip to pin tip. It should be easy.
