My chameleon is lil girl is getting close to eating out of my hand, but the cricket will not move enough for her to take. So how do you make a cricket dance in your finger tips? so she will take the food i am like 5 inches from her

I find that crickets slow down when cold so warm them up. I don't think I could hold a cricket long enough for my boy to eat it.LOL Some on here pull the back legs off so they can't jump.:D

I use a tongs myself.and its easy to get them to move bit just tightening and releasing the grip on them.I normally just grab them by one of the back legs

I find that crickets do not like to be held by their antina<(spelling). Milly will snatch them from my hand like that. You can try it.

I hold them by the abdomen between my thumb and index finger and tickle their bellies with my middle finger. That makes 'em squirm enough for Pablo to go after them. :)

I have tried the tongs but find they are harder for me to grab initially this way and always feed like I'm going to crush them. Fingers it is.

I will give them a shot by the antenna. And i do it with tongs and she eats right off of it, but i really am going more for the hand feeding so maybe i will try to hold them by the HEAD:eek: and see if she takes to that

I just hold them by both back legs, not one leg though, it will just break off, needs to be both.
They will fight helplessly to escape and my chams always snag them.

Poooooor crickets :p
