How to make a free range?

Hi, well I am moving with in the next month and a half (sometime around October) and once we get settled in I want to make a free range for my female. but how should i make it? lighting? feeding her? setting up the pathways and plants? so any tips would be helpful.
Pics would be the best. (im kind of a visual learner when it comes to builiding
