How am I suppose to know when my male and female panther have finished there business. Will they move away from eachother or become aggressive or what because I don't want him or her to get hurt be eachother

Well some leave them together for a couple of days, but one breeding is usually fine. So once they separate you can put them back in their own cages.

What species?

Okay I was almost positive the just separate a d leave eachother alone but I wanted to make sure they wouldn't attack eachother. And I'm mating my ambilobe pair for the first time they are both around 1.8 years old and haven't seen eachother till today and he went after her too fast and she looke compliant with what he wanted to do. They have been together for about 45 min now maybe a lil less and haven't separated yet and he is mounted on her so cross my fingers all goes well. She has been bred before but this is his first time :)

Yeah, you can separate them when they disconnect. Or you can leave them together for a few matings. Usually they don't attack each other but the female will show gravid coloration. Keep a close eye on them either way.

Thank you so much it's just learning learning learning I gotta keep up with the curve I hope mating goes well. Another question I have is how long does it usually take for them to separate? because mine have been mounted together for close to an hour now! Is that normal?? Again thank you for the help it is much appreciated :)

Mine usually stay together for around 45 to an hour then separate. I have some females that will show gravid colors almost immediately and will not tolerate a 2nd attempt from the male. It all depends on the female. Watch them closely and see how your girl reacts. If she shows aggession when the male tries to mate again then pull her out.
