How to horizontal pathways

I've grabbed some sticks from outside and cleaned them and I have one nice fake bendy twig I bought from Petsmart, but how do I set them up so they are safe for my cham to walk on? Feel free to refer me to any previous threads regarding this matter. Thanks!

If you mean how to install them
1) create a stick frame inside the screen cage and tie wrap or hot glue your horizontal sticks to the frame.
2) you can hot glue your sticks directly to the screen for a moderately weighed chameleon.

You can use thumbtacks (push pins) to hold the branches up as long as they go across the whole cage. Just push them in the side and sandwich the screen between the stick and the thumbtack

I like to use fishing line to secure them then I zig zag going down in an angle that way they go up and down the cage without stopping. Hope I made sense

Take the sticks and figure out what angle youd like them to be at in the enclosure, they dont have to be going straight across, but thats up to you.

You can just lay them in the cage, securing them with each other, or leaning in a corner.

For horizontals, cut the ends off, at the desired angle, and place a push pin through the screen into the ends of the branch.

I like the thumbtack idea too. I use a balancing act and twine to place horizontals but am pretty sure I will use tacks in the future.

Be careful of the random sticks from outside. Cleaning should have involved boiling, baking, or some other form of sterilization. It can be hard to get rid of miscellaneous fungus spores or bugs you may not want to introduce into your home let alone with your cham.

I make a network of branches tied together with small zip ties then prune it to fit inside the cage. If you secure a couple horizontals with thumbtacks you have something to anchor to. From there just build out with more branches. I like crape myrtle trees for the natural twtsts of the branches and varying diameters.

I really like using these type of Curly Willow Branches from a craft store - but make sure you get unpainted, unvarnished, natural, etc.

These PVC pipe cutters from Home Depot make quick work of cutting the branches to the appropriate size, and make it easy to get the angle of cut you need:

And I use brass thumb tacks to secure the branches. I find that real wooden branches actually secure the best.

i buy bamboo sticks and just cut them to length needs and wedge them between the left and right screen. They hold up nice and dont rip through

I used soap and hot water and washed all the outside sticks off and cut off all the little protrusions that looked like they may cause harm. They are also bug free. ;P. I don't think they would fit in the oven tho...

I'm planning on getting some bamboo but I never thought to use them for pathways. Maybe I'll do that. Sounds sturdy! And black bamboo looks sweet ;P
