How to feed roaches

How do you guys keep your roaches from scattering/ hiding when feeding in the tank? Merlin is too shy to hand feed and doesn't seem to get the concept of cup feeding yet so I tried just throwing the roaches in his tank. After finding one in my curtains and the majority of the others hiding in his plants I think I need some new ideas.

You are pretty much stuck with a feeder cup style with the screen backing so they crawl up it, and used mixed feeders in the cup and hope for a miss, or at least get the dubia to run up the screen.

Is there a specific spot in relation to the lights that would be best for the feeder cup?

Ive seen that most people use clear cups. Is this a need or does it matter what color the cup is?

I dont advise clear cups, since the cham will try to eat through the glass.

YOu can make this one with some pvc pipe and a hand saw

Or you can go for the milk jug remember to make the bottom also screen for draining and so they can start climbing

As for size, its up to you. Myself, i made one out of those cheap 2 gallon carboys so the chameleon can go "in" the feeder.

Its recommended that you place it as near to the front door as possible. Chameleons, even if tame/friendly, do not want hands in "their" tree.
