what is the best way to feed a 4 to 7 month old in a 12.18.20 screen cage.

CUP or FREE RANGE?...and why.

His diet will be gut loaded crix and silkworms.

I know not to feed the silks so do i just let them crawl on a branch that he can get to and let him eat or just put in in a cup and whola?:D

that size enclosure may be a bit small for a chameleon of that variety around 5 months.

BUT, i free ranged the crickets he did just find finding thm, and it was fairly heavly forested.

but the idea is to get them cup trained, so that you can keep track of there intake.

I agree with Sang......it about time for a bigger cage. Don't forget to dust your crickets before feeding.

If you ever intend to use roaches or any other feeder that can't free range, start using a cup now. There are many benefits to cup feeding. It's easy to switch a cham from cup feeding to free range, but it's not always easy to go from free range to cup feeding.
