How often do I replace my Reptisun 5.0?

Its the compact bulb and Ive heard you should replace it every 6 months is that correct? the box says yearly.

I do every 6-8 months.

the box says yearly, but when people have tested uvb output, they have foudn that after 6 monhts it starts to drop rapidly.

Six months defiantly. some say it starts dwindling at 3 months.
And some also say compacts arnt recommend over tubes.

6 months is correct but if you get a uvb meter you might get a year out of some some might come to you with low uvb brand new all depends but without meter 6 months

that was a long time ago.

the compacts USED to cause eye problems. It has since been fixed.

I have used compacts for over a year on my chams, no oneis blind or shutting their eyes yet.

people recommend tubes now because they provide more coverage.

i use the arcadia d3 18 inch linear tube and i got them in december and they seem to be doing fine i read you dont have to replace them that soon i dont know the uv levels cause i dont have a solormeater or what ever there called

Correct. That brand lasts six months TOPS. The UVB fades well before the visible light.
