How often do I mist my chameleon cage

How often should I be misting my chameleon cage? I have a 5 month old veiled chameleon and I live in southeastern Wyoming. The temperature in our house usually runs between 66-69, and the humidity averages between 51-55. He is in a 18x18x36 cage.

That is a pretty good average humidity, he'll need to be misted about three times a day on average, and that should be with a dripper, I would mist for about 2 minutes at least. If he's still drinking after that two minutes, you might want to consider misting for 30 seconds longer. I mist my jackson for about 4 minutes and so my panther gets misted the same amount, he is less thirsty than her, but my jackson gets stimulated to drink slower and drinks for longer than my panther does. They both get misted 4 times a day.

How are you measuring the cage humidity? You are in a fairly dry climate so don't rely on one of those analog meters from the typical pet shop. They are not very reliable. Even if he is drinking well you do need to track the humidity level, as the drier it is the more he'll need to drink to make up for it.
