how much time?

not much...all you need is the proper setup, and all you need to do is put feeder insects, mist/dripper water, and clean the cage every once in a while....now watching them with fascination may take hours:p, holding them isnt recommended.........but it all depends

hope this helps

People lurking....lol

Yes, once you get the proper set-up and correct care down maintaining it is not so bad and you have to mist and drip a few times a day unless you set-up with an automatic system.

But I spend lots of time watching my guys... they probably think "Man, I wish that wierd lady would get a life"...lol

I am ashamed to say but is it the eqivalent of the "Chamaratzzi"....

I have 5, and I might spend 30-40 mins in the morning doing stuff with them in my mourning care routine. I usually make sure the misting system resevoir is full, refil food bowls, mist the chams that are in outside cages, and whatnot. And then I might spend a good while actually handeling my friendlier guys one at a time, some more than others.

Yeah...I don't even think mine appreciates me looking at him....

A chameleon will see you in one eye, leaves in the other, so in his head it looks like you are hiding in the bushes... if everytime I saw someone and I thought they were in the bushes I would freak out too...:p

Omg!

Read this and just had to laugh, made me think that the Cham's are paranoid... probably off all the "Cricket Crack"! LOL!!!! JK of course! :D:eek::D

so most of the times you guys are not even home the whole day right?

yeah! I am either in class or at work a lot of the time. But because you can put lights and misting systems (just got a mistking) on timers, it makes most of their care automatic. like the guy said above, clean the poop off the bottom of the cage, put in feeders insects with correct supplementation, and just monitor for anything out of the ordinary. other than that, that's it!
