Welcome to the forums. Do you have a name for your girl yet? Any pictures of you girl and her set up? I keep veileds and they are awesome chameleons with tons of personality. You can see my veileds here.

Do you have a laying bin for your girl? After 5 months old they need a lay bin in their enclosure at all times. Females will lay eggs without a male even being around and if not provided a proper laying bin they will become egg bound and die. An adult healthy female I only feed 3 days a week about 4 to 6 feeders depending in the size of the feeder. I'm attaching a few blogs here that you should find useful.

Yes if you don't have one, get a laying bin set up asap. Please post some pictures! :)

I'd get some more foliage near the top area of the enclosure so she can self regulate her Temps and escape to the shade if need be.

She is a little cutie! Would recommend you carefully read the blogs above. I would also highly recommend you remove the wood chips from the bottom of the cage. Little girl will eat anything and everything and become impacted if she eats some of that wood.

should i replace it with carpet ?

any suggestions ? is there like a popular type of vine or something chameleons really love
I (and many others) use Golden Pothos. As long as your girl isn't a big plant eater there should be no issue. They are very good plants with wide leaves that hold moisture from misting, and theyou will also provide nice shade. You can twist them around your vines and get great coverage.

I just used paper towels. So much easier to clean.

Also, I notice a bio bubble water fountain in there. Be careful with those. I had one, thinking how cool to have running water that drips from the leaves in it but it was super hard to keep clean. Even cleaning it out a couple times a week it got slimy and black stuff started growing in the tubes. I quit using it.

Yes, a bin should be available pretty much full time with females after 5 months old. She looks stressed, and that can lead to other health problems if it continues long term. The added foliage will help her feel more comfortable. Make sure to give her time to adjust to any changes so she can feel secure. Make sure to pay particular attention to the Temps and feeding for females. You may be able to minimize the egg development with some subtle changes in husbandry.
