Agreed. Beared pygmy chameleons, R. brevicaudatus, are best suited for "beginners". They seem to be more durable, in the sense they can handle husbandry infractions better then other species.
I have a 2:3 ratio at the min, but as i have an extra male, i need to get anew tank! R.Brevs are very hardy so will be good for you as a beginner! check out my pics for an idea of the size of my setup. i think i read some where 1 pygmy per cubic foot.

sorry forgot to put, my tank is 45x45x60cm which is about 33 gallon i think? that is plenty big for my little clan although im splurging out on a new tank of the same size to put my other male and my female that doesnt like the dominant male!
2 males in one enclosure went always good for some weeks or maybe months. But sooner or later one of the males will lay death in a corner of the enclosure
