How many minutes can you run the Mistking mister from the starter kit without harming the pump? 5 minutes or 10 minutes or more?

Thanks!

I don't think 5 minutes will harm it, but just curious, why 10 minutes? :)

I read a post on another thread about someone who had the mister on for 10-15 minutes. Not that I'm planning to do that, but just curious.

I've also read conflicting information about whether to let the cage dry out in-between mistings. Some say to let it dry out in-between, while others say that it should never dry out. Any ideas on that topic?

Thanks for your reply!

It all really depends on your drainage situation. I don't currently have any drainage hooked up so i have more frequent but shorter intervals of mist + a dripper. I let mine dry out, because the moisture, while its good for humidity can be a harbor for all kinds of bacteria. Do you have a pic of your set up? :)

mistking pumps are very robust, i would think you could run them for even 30min with no problems,
and i let my cages dry up between mistings. there is still good humidity but the leaves and vines are def, dry

That pump could run continuously for years without giving out.
(technically)
There should be no problem with it running for under an hour at a time.

I have been misting for 40 minutes a day, every day, for almost two years - in 15 and 20 minute bursts. So 5-10 minutes will be more than fine! :)
