hi again all,
quick question...My 8 month ambilobe ( Byson ) is doing really well. eating drinking and active. Over the last two months he has figured out his favorite food and has shown less interest in the ordinary cricket, in hopes that i will pick up a juicy goliath /horned worm. It is the only food item that will make him RUN to and eat instantly!!!! i think i even see a smile after he chomps it down :D:D:D even though the cost is alot more than crickets and other feeders, i dont mind that. i just want to know how many is too many or can this be used as his staple? right now he has 1 or 2 tops per weeks. let me know what you all think:)

I would not use HW as a staple but you could give him one a day along with maybe some supers, dubias or crickets. He does need chitin in his diet for his digestion system. Maybe alternate between silkworms and hornworms as a daily snack/bonus/reward.

I only have a few chams so I buy my horns in the ready made cups. So, I feed them every other day to my guys until there gone. I think they are a nutritious feeder, but I'd worry about runny stools if you feed them every day as a staple.

I think 1 or 2 a week is absolutely fine. More than that an you may find the chameleon has runny poop.
My personal rule of thumb is to not have any feeder make up more than 25% of the chameleons diet. Which means minimally four types of bugs. IMO more variety is better (I use about 14 types of bugs)
