How many eggs?

So i know some of you Senior Members have a big collection of chams. I want to hear about the maximum amount of eggs you have had at one time. I am at 70 panther eggs right now, with one female that is going to lay her second clutch from retained sperm. Along with a receptive Nosy Be female i might breed.

I wonder if anyone has ever had an exuberant amount like 500 eggs?

Lily, my first cham laid two huge infertile clutches - the first of 104 and the second of 102! Where on earth would one begin with that many little green friends all at once, lol!

No way she "beat" mine with one egg! I need photo documentation! :D

I actually did the mistake of hatching them all. I had no plan for a near 100% hatch success.

Haha! You had over 100 baby veileds all at once?! :D Thankfully Lily's were infertile. I counted both clutches at least twice as I couldn't believe it! First clutch I originally thought was 103 but I found another egg when I emptied the bin to replace the substrate! Here's a couple of pics Jonas!

First clutch (December 2008):

Well these were big fat fertile eggs, she was NOT happy the last days before laying. Poor thing.

I used some different materials as an experiment, didnt think it would all hatch...

And I think 98 or something like that hatched. Raising them was an adventure, never to be made again!

Here is one of the terrariums i used in the beginning for quite large groups of juveniles.

Lets just say that I had a lot of opportunities to perfect my recipes for drosophila cultures...

They're veiled chameleons, the eggs would have probably hatched if you put them on gravel too.

That may be so, but there are more things than just black/white or hatched/non-hatched.

Eggs in peat mulch grew to more than 1.5 times the size than the others, a mixture of materials had slightly earlier hachings, etc. Things like that.

I would be interested in hearing about the diff hatching materials and what effects that they had on your clutch.
