How many can fit?

I have 2 chameleons. One is two years and another is a pregnant female gaven to me by a pet shop. You know caging is a opinion. Don't spread he say crap. They work perfect for my other animals.

so do you house these two chams together?...what species of chams?.....im confused???

Hey. If I buy a 260 gallon reptarium, how many veileds can fit in there? Cause I want to have like ten females in there and then have 2 males separate and then intro them. But, I will be buying ten baby veileds to start and then let them go in there.

I'm glad you asked before trying it...you would have heard basically the same thing either way...whether you take it as a critique or a straight answer to a question. We're trying to save your chams from a lot of problems and you from watching them drop.

The key to housing multiple chams is secluding them from each other's view even if they are housed alone. If you get multiple cages (IMHO a 38 gallon is too small for one adult veiled), make sure they can't see each other...put the cages in a row with opaque dividers between them or they will STILL stress each other. In the wild, free ranging chams would not choose to hang out close to each other and they can leave the area if they want to lessen their stress. In captivity they can't.

If you really want to breed, start off with one pair so you won't get completely buried in newbie problems...it's a big learning curve and if you are successful you have to find homes for all the babies. Not all that easy these days.
