How Long?

Ok so my chameleon is ready to lay, large lumps everywhere, slowed down on eating ( will maybe eat like 2 or 3 crickets at most) and has also been roaming around the bottom of her cage for about 5 days. So today I put her in a large bucket ( like 1.5 times the size of a 5 gallon bucket). And my question is how long should I leave her in their I've never tried this technique. Usually my chams lay within a day or 2 of the laying signs but it's been like 5. So how long should I give her until I put her back into her cage if she doesn't lay?

can you not put a lay bucket in her cage?

that way she has access to it when shes ready to lay?

just becuase you see lumps, doesnt mean she has to lay right now, it could take another week from when you see eggs to when shes ready to lay thm.

Their is a lay bucket in her cage. And it's not that I can just see lumps, she has slowed down allot on eating and also has been roaming around the bottom for about 6 days now and does not seem interested in her bucket
