How long to wait for eggs?

I bred my Nosy Be female back on May 23. The end of this week should be 6 weeks. Sometimes she looks chubby, and sometimes she doesn't. I do know they copulated 2 times. Should I go beyond this date to wait, or just breed her, again? Thanks...

That is a little longer than I would expect it would take for her to lay. Has she been showing gravid colors? I assume you have your laying bin setup correctly and she isn't just holding on to the eggs.

You can show her to your male and see what her reaction is. You should be able to tell very quickly if she is gravid or not.

Bin

Yes, she's had a bin in for quite awhile. She is a different color every day. That is one reason why she is confusing. I will try breeding her, again, this afternoon or see how she feels about it. Thanks.

Just hold her in front of the male but don't let them get close to each other until you know for sure she is ok with it.

Also, if she will let you, you should be able to fell her belly and tell if she has eggs or not.

eggs

She is still eating, but not so much. She is very restless. Moves all day, but she does not go near her bin. She has checked out the bottom more often. She is not as chubby as other chams I have seen on the forum. I am off shopping, but will try some things when I get home. I could probably feel her tummy, but it would be a wrestling match. :D

Good times

Well, as disappointed as I am that Sirene's Song is not gravid, they are having a good time, now. This time I will leave her in overnight.:)

do NOT leave them together overnight. that is a very bad idea which can lead to a very tragic ending.
