How long should a U.R.I take to go away?

My cham was given Baytril by the vet a week ago and I still see signs of it but less "snoring" and less excess saliva. He is a 4 year old veiled chameleon.

Yes, it can take several weeks to go away. Reptiles do everything slowly, including healing. Signs of improvenment are a good thing and he should continue to get progressively better. If progress starts going backwards call the vet asap. If there are still symptoms by the time you run out of medication you'll need to tell the vet so they either get you more meds or do another exam to make sure everything is going okay.

Update

I am almost done with his medication and while the "snoring" has stopped he still makes the popping noise and has excess salvia. Im very worried that the medication which is Baytril is not working.
