How long can females stay gravid and still be safe?

My female has been gravid for about a week now. Well I'm assuming she is as she's got alot fatter and is showing her gravid colours most of the time but not all. She is eating and drinking as normal however but she is a pig lol. She has only layed once before, a few months back. When should I be worried? She has a laying bin available at all times and I have had her cage all covered up with a sheet.

It's usually about a month after they become gravid.

They are infertile. What I meant to say was she has been showing signs of being gravid over the past week, I dont know how long she has actually been producing the eggs inside her lol.

I'm still new to females laying, only happens once since I've had her so apologies for all the questions.

I would start your clock from the time you noticed the change in coloration. It may not be exact, but likely within a week from when she began producing the eggs.

You say you have had her lay once? Did that go well? If so, I would just stand back and let her do her thing.

Ok thanks. I think it wad about last Friday. Yeah that was in her juvi cage though she is in her xl now but the laying bin is the same.
