I have just recently started using Repashy Bug Burger for gut loading. My bins for Dubias and Supers don't have lids but I have noticed with my crickets there is a fermented type smell when I open their bin. I just drilled some additional holes for ventilation.
What I need to know is how long can the Bug Burger stay in the container. I usually only buy a few days supply of crickets so its not in there more than 3 days ever, but is that too long? Or does the stuff just smell that way?
With the supers and dubias it drys out more quickly so I have never noticed any odd odor. Today I just sprinkled some dry until I hear back on the forum. Don't want drunk crickets. I store it in the fridge after making it.
I apologize if this has been asked. I did a search and went on the Repashy site but can't find anything about this.
