my female yemen just finished layin her 2nd clutch 2day but im wondering should i take them from the layin chamber yet??
Because wen she had her 1st clutch we waited about half a day then removed them but a couple of days later she dropped 5 more eggs even tho her layin chamber was returned!!

Advice please??

Also she definately looks slimmer than b4 but still larger then she normally is, id say she is still carrying a few more

If she is back up into the branches and out of the container, you can remove the eggs now. If you think she has more eggs to lay, you can put the bin right back afterwards (Im assuming that its in the cage with her).

ok we've started takin the eggs from her layin bin as she hasn't been back to it all day but im almost certain that she has retained some, what do we do???

yes its in her cage with her and we will be puttin it straight back in with her once we've removed what she has already laid

Maybe she will carry on tomorrow. Have her lights gone off for the night now? Lily laid all hers in one go, but she finished about this time of the evening so I didn't remove them until the following day. Next morning she was down again still covering up (she didn't lay anymore). I'm sure that she could smell them and thought that she needed to cover them more. She finally returned to her branches at about 3pm the day after she laid them and returned to normal behaviour once I'd removed the eggs. As hard as it is, try not to disturb her while she's digging and laying. I found it so hard not to peek in - I was very stressed!!

lights are due 2 go off any minute now, she filled in her chamber this morning and has been up high all day but she still looks like she has more inside her

Have you palpated her to see if you can feel any more eggs?
Normal behavior would be laying the entire clutch at once ... however, since she has done two goes before, you are better to play it safe.
I would give her a couple of days and see what happens.
Has she eaten since laying the 11?

no i havent but u can see she still has some just lookin at her, she hasn't eaten for about 4 days now

If she's getting ready to roost, then I would leave her for tonight. Leave the bin in with her and see what she does in the morning. Lily went back down to hers when it got light the next morning and was already busy when I got up. Maybe she just had a small clutch? I think that they usually lay more than that in captivity though. Maybe someone more experienced will chip in here. Lily has only laid once so I'm by no means an expert with laying. There was a thread on here last week about another cham retaining part of a clutch. Did you read that thread? There may be some help there. https://www.chameleonforums.com/fewer-eggs-than-expected-22442/

she's not been diggin anymore only started eatin 2day, managed to palpertate her 2day she is definately still carrying eggs what do i do?
the vets are closed 2moro and im worried about leaving her!

If you feel that she still has eggs in her I would take her to the vets so they could do an xray to see what's going on.
