How far can chameleons jump?

i wouldnt do that to my cham., and id say my cham. could jump just as well as that, but i barely consider it jumping and watch out for bone breaks and swelling joints after a day of that.

its that guys pet though not mine, it is nice to have fun with your pets though, but man thats basically abuse...

should i do anything about the bottom of my chameleons cage(since its 8' tall) so he doesn't get hurt?

i dont think that your chameleon would be doing that, usually in cages chameleons dont jump, you should be fine
