How do you encourage a baby cham to eat his fruits/veggies?
My last veiled had an aversion to them lol.

Ik that chams as a rule wont eat stuff that doesnt move, but if you introduce them to veggies and fruits early do you think it would make a difference?

J/c I have been thinking about it alot but idk if it would. Maybe if you handfeed that kind of stuff, make it wiggle or whatever, they would be like "Ohh yum!"

My veiled eats just about anything, lol. Try wiggling it around. I hand feed veggies to my veiled. That's ok if he doesn't want to eat them... if his food is eating it, he is eating it.

My male veiled just isn't interested in fruit or veggies at all. He's not very bothered about any food though, so not a great example. I tried to offer him stuff as a youngster, wiggling it enticingly. Still no luck. They tend to eat more veggies as they get older. He once ate a piece of strawberry. I keep trying.
My female has been much better, though she still didn't eat much greens as a baby. Now she eats anything that might be food

I put chopped up fruit in my veiled dish and he's at it lightning fast. I read some people use worms and veggies/fruits to make a "salad" that encourages them to nom it.

I don't see any reason to get a chameleon eating vegetables categorically. If he don't want to, leave him, he'll be fine without. They're insectivore, they don't get a lack of veggies (even if he's a veiled ). If he wants to eat leaves, look out for vegetables or just eatable plants for his cage without oxalic acids.

I - personally - don't recommend to feed fruits to chameleon as I explained in this thread.

This is a good point I agree with. There is no need at all to persuade a Veiled or panther to take raw greens if you have a good gutload anyway. My guy don't eat greens, his choice - I don't mind at all

Ahh man, that rule that they won't eat something that is not moving is false lol my baby girl Isabella eats kale off of leaves when I leave it in there and I actually fed her a piece of Clementine off of my hand the other night. She tried to eat my slice after that ha But I think Isabella eats that stuff because I always put it in there like I do her crickets when I would hand feed them to her. I associate it with food when I put my hand in there and she catches on quick.

I did that with Pasc! but he ate the worms out of the "salad" and was like See mom! I ate veggies!.....little turd lol..

Thats cool! I had a hamster once that would steal my food. I'll try that. I just want to make sure my new baby gets all the food he wants, even stuff that doesnt move like fruits and veggies. Just in case one night I run out of crickets, worms, etc. I dont even have him yet, but I'm already planning this stuff out to give him the best possible.
